The home improvements are now in full swing. This morning we had the patio in our backyard removed and in order to complete the task, the workers had to use a jack hammer and a sledge hammer. Kyle was enthralled in watching the work take place, so needless to say, this is how he spent the majority of his morning!
Well, this is our new backyard patio...isn't it just beautiful? Maybe I should send this photo to the Home and Garden magazine...I'm sure they would publish it...don't you think? The plan was to complete the project on Monday, but I'm not sure that Mother Nature will cooperate...we shall see!
Since we are such awesome parents (LOL), we did let Kyle have some "muddy" fun this evening. We let him play in the dirt pile and he was prepared to work with his shovel and his dump truck. His clothes and shoes were covered in mud by the time he was done with his work so we stripped him before heading inside and straight to the bath tub.
I am so excited to see the finished product and get the area ready for the spring and summer months. I will certainly post some pictures once we have everything 100% in order...flowers included!
