Christmas Memories From The Past

Recently, I posted Kyle's photo with Santa from this year. I have been doing a lot of reminiscing of past Christmases with Kyle and wanted to post the pictures of Kyle with Santa since he was born in 2005.

Kyle met Santa for the very first time while he was in the NICU. It was so sweet that Santa spent time with everyone in the NICU. John and I weren't exactly in the holiday spirit that year so this was a nice treat.

This past weekend we took Kyle, "Santa's Little Helper", to see Santa Claus. We attempted to have the picture taken in the morning, soon after he arrived. Unfortunately, about a hundred other people had the same idea so we decided not to wait that long. We headed back after Kyle's nap and waited for only a minute or two...the timing was perfect this time! In previous years, Kyle has been a little reluctant with Santa, but this year he is excited to see him and to sit on his lap. He waved and told Santa "Hi" and gave him a High Five! Unfortunately, he can't tell Santa what he wants for Christmas...hopefully next year!

Holiday Festivities

This evening we went to a Christmas Tree lighting and the arrival of Santa. After the lighting of the tree, Santa was escorted to the festivities on a fire truck. How exciting for all the children...especially Kyle! He had the opportunity to meet and visit with Santa. Kyle wanted to make sure he knew what a good boy he has been this year...LOL! There was a band playing Christmas music and Kyle had a blast showing off his dance moves!

Our weekend festivities have really put us in the holiday spirit. We have a few more outings planned in the next couple of weeks so we are looking forward to more Holiday Happenings in the near future.

Is It Already That Time?

The day after Halloween, November 1st, we went to a craft fair at a local high school. This is one of my favorite outings to do this time of year and I drag John and Kyle along. Well, lo and behold, guess who made an appearance...you guessed it...Santa Claus! The Halloween costume hasn't even been put away and we have moved on! Kyle was excited to see Santa and to sit on his lap. The picture isn't the highest quality, plus it had to be scanned into the computer, but it was a cute picture of Kyle so of course I had to share.
