OnStar Service

One of the nice features we received when we purchased our new car last year was a one year subscription to OnStar. It really is a comforting feeling to know help is only a phone call away if you find yourself in an emergency situation. Thankfully, we haven't used the service...that is until today. As I mentioned in my previous post, we took a trip to the zoo. As we were getting things organized to bring inside with us, John accidentally locked the keys in the car. We called OnStar and within just a minute or two the doors were unlocked...a lot quicker and easier than calling Pop-A-Lock!

Since, we found ourselves in this situation, we did learn two very important lessons. The first lesson is to program the OnStar phone number into our cell phones. The second lesson is that we will most certainly be renewing our subscription when the time comes.

No Excuse

I have no excuse to have a dirty car. I purchased an auto spa package for my new car which includes a years worth of unlimited car washes...inside and out!! According to my husband, I am required to have it cleaned at least once a week. Sounds easy enough, right? We shall see how well I do. I'm thinking, I will go often, especially since Kyle enjoys playing with the train table in the waiting room!

Cruising Through Wine Country

Saturday morning, we took a cruise in our new car and drove to Augusta...Missouri Wine Country. The drive is very pleasant and scenic. We stopped at two of our favorite wineries...Montelle and Mount Pleasant. We didn't have any wine, but did enjoy the nice peaceful surroundings and took a few pictures. We are planning a date night in the near future to have a Sunset Dinner at the Montelle Winery.

John and I don't make it to the wineries as often as we have in the past, since Kyle is now in the picture. Montelle Winery was one of our very first dates in St. Louis so we have special memories. Mount Pleasant is also special since a few friends hosted a surprise wedding shower for us at the winery. We plan to head back in the fall when the weather is a little cooler.

If you are travelling in the STL area, beware of an almost three year old driving an Outlook...you may want to move out of the way pretty quickly!!

My New Baby

After months of drooling, I finally have it....a 2008 Saturn Outlook XR, Midnight Blue. It is beautiful...inside and out!! We absolutely love the car and are so happy with our new purchase. The interior has tan leather, second row captain's chairs, and a third row for additional seating. Next week, we are having a DVD system installed so it will be 100% Kyle friendly! We are even more excited to have our new car for our vacation next month. We will be cruising in style and comfort!
